While our primary community programme is based in London, The Hive extends our mission of support and empowerment to the Manchester community. The Hive continually evolves to meet the needs of people we support through ongoing feedback and collaboration.

The Hive offers a diverse and adaptable schedule that blends work experience with opportunities to transform hobbies and interests into valuable skills. Our community-focused approach empowers people we support to enhance their social skills, motor skills, responsibilities and independence.

Enterprise Initiatives: Developing independence and responsibility
The Hive’s enterprise projects focus on helping people develop work skills, independence and a sense of responsibility. Through voluntary work experience, participants gain practical experience and contribute to community-focused initiatives.
Our flagship enterprise project, Bygone Times, is on its way to becoming a successful social enterprise, intending to achieve formal accreditation. Products created through our enterprise projects are sold to community organisations and are also available at Kisharon Langdon’s Gift & Homeware Store, Equal.
