Bar/Bat mitzvah

Your Bar or Bat Mitzvah is an exciting and special time and a pivotal step into Jewish adulthood.

As part of this step, Kisharon Langdon would be delighted to support you in a mitzvah project to make your celebration even more meaningful.

We have lots of fantastic ideas and will help you find a project which complements your passions, interests and personal connections. It could be…

  • Volunteering opportunities to contribute towards your community volunteering hours for the Duke of Edinburgh or Yoni Jesner Award
  • Planning your own creative fundraiser such as a cake sale, car wash or football match
  • Participating in one of Kisharon Langdon’s challenge events which include sponsored runs, walks or cycles
  • Shabbat visits to our Supported Living homes to help with candle lighting or Havdalah
  • Befriending or using your own passions and talents to host workshops or masterclasses, bringing smiles to the people we support

As part of your Bar or Bat Mitzvah project, we can also arrange personalised programmes to educate you, your friends, and peers at school about disability awareness and the importance of equality and inclusivity. We know that as you move forward with your lives, your understanding will educate others and ensure that people with learning disabilities and autistic people feel included, valued and understood.
