Job Title:        Lead Support Worker – Manchester

Location:       Prestwich – however travel may be required between local properties

Salary:            £24,765.00 per annum + Pension

The Lead Support Worker provides a person-centred service to all members, building relationships with them, their families and the local community.

The role is also responsible for supporting a team of support workers to enable our members to live as independently as possible. 

The Role:

  • Work with members and their families, supporting them in the decisions they make about how they live their lives and ensuring that personal needs are met.
  • Work in collaboration with the Service Manager to ensure Support Plans and Risk assessments are relevant and up to date.
  • Ensure that all members are aware of all social, recreational and community opportunities and events and facilitating any necessary access.
  • Lead a team of Support Workers to promote and maintain a person-centred service provision.
  • Promote and adhere to the workplace values.

About You:

  • Good standard of written and verbal English.
  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care.
  • Ability to identify risk and implement action plans.
  • Previous experience of maintaining accurate records

Salary: £11.44 p/h unqualified or £12.27 p/h qualified

Location: Borehamwood, Hertfordshire and Edgware, North London

Contract type: Part-time and Full-time (37.5 hrs per week)

The Role:

The role will include supporting our members in designing and developing their support/care plans and providing social, health and personal care. Support Workers will be expected to work flexible hours which will involve working early and late shifts, including sleep in’s, weekends and bank holidays in accordance with member need. 

The successful candidate will be required to work individually and as part of a team to support and enable individuals to live as independently as possible by assisting individuals to develop new and existing skills.  They will also be responsible for working with our employment team to facilitate employment opportunities, and with our programming team to assist and support our members to enjoy an active social life.

About you:

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, you must have a good standard of written English.  Previous experience of working with adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism desirable but not essential.  Full training will be given to the successful applicant.
