Chaim Dovid
For 16 years, Chaim Dovid has been a valued member of the Kisharon Langdon community. As a Supported Living tenant, he leads an inspiringly independent life – managing his own home and travelling confidently on public transport.
Chaim Dovid has worked in a number of roles, most recently securing a job in the Oliver McGowan programme, where he trains NHS staff using his lived experience to improve care for people with learning disabilities.
Jordyn
When Jordyn was born, doctors didn’t expect her to live beyond a month. If she did, they believed she would never walk, see or hear. But Jordyn has overcome the odds. Since joining our Wohl Campus, Kisharon Noé School, a Loftus Learning Centre – wearing a school uniform for the very first time – she has grown into a happy, expressive child.
She now walks independently and communicates with her family, teachers and friends, sharing her love of school, music and fashion in her own unique way.
Lizzi
Lizzi joined Brady Youth as a teenager and found not just support, but a real sense of belonging. She built lasting friendships that have continued at Kisharon Langdon College, where she’s now thriving – growing in confidence in a nurturing environment where she feels truly valued and accepted.
Lizzi especially enjoys her regular work experience at the school, where she reads with the pupils – a role that brings her pride and joy.
Marc
Marc has been a Supported Living tenant since 2013, sharing his home with a flatmate who has become a trusted friend.
Marc has embraced many opportunities offered by Kisharon Langdon, from working at our social enterprise project, New Chapters to regularly joining Community Programme activities.
For eight years, Marc has proudly participated in our annual cycle challenge – riding in tandem and raising funds, to give back to the charity that supports him.
I love being part of Kisharon Langdon, it helps me live my best life and gives me opportunities, such as the Kisharon Langdon Bike Ride, where we raise money for people like me.
