Journey of a Lifetime
Pesach is the ultimate story of a journey to freedom
Everyday we empower individuals with learning disabilities and autistic people to embark on their own journey of a lifetime, towards a future filled with independence and opportunity.
From a joyful toddler to an independent young woman, Deena’s journey with Kisharon Langdon started at our Tuffkid Nursery, where her bubbly personality blossomed in an inclusive, nurturing environment.
At the Wohl Campus, Kisharon Noé school, she gained confidence and thrived academically and socially, surrounded by friends and caring staff.
Her next step was Kisharon Langdon College, where she explored her passions and dreamed of greater independence.
With our support, Deena moved into one of our, fully-adapted Supported Living homes with her best friends.
Through our comprehensive community programme, Deena’s days are filled with activities she loves, from bowling to arts and crafts, bringing her joy and fulfilment.
Deena’s mother, Sylvia, says, “It’s hard to keep up with her busy schedule! The Friday Night Dinners, where Deena and her friends prepare and host Shabbat, are truly heartwarming. Kisharon Langdon’s unique support is invaluable—we couldn’t imagine our journey without them.”
Kisharon Langdon supports individuals at every life stage, but providing high-quality, personalised support comes at a significant cost. We need to raise £4.5m to fund the gap between the costs of running our vital services, the limited income we receive from local authorities, and contributions from families. Many of our essential services receive no government funding, and rising costs make your support more crucial than ever before.
Please help us to raise the funds needed to support others like Deena by providing specialist care, innovative programmes, and the opportunity for individuals with learning disabilities and autistic people to live fulfilling, independent lives.
